All deaths that occur in New Zealand are legally required to be registered with the Births, Deaths and Marriages Registrar.

Arranging a funeral before the time necessitates it, lets you note your wishes and concerns, allowing your family and friends to be aware of what your wishes are well before time.

What is Involved?

The simplest type of Pre Arranged Funeral would be a record of where a person would like their service, and if they were to be buried or cremated. Most people however opt to provide a few more details to help their family with decisions.

Some of the hardest information for people to obtain can be the family information required for the registration of the death. Often parents’ details can be quite difficult to find. Recording these and any other specific wishes in advance is a sure way to assist people in their time of loss.
