Peacefully at Jane Winstone Rest Home on Wednesday 26 November 2025, aged 95 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Ted.
Much loved Mum of Peter and Anita, and Lynne and John.
Loved nana to Aaron and Kirsty, Anita and Harry, Micaela and Steve, Kyle and Lisa, Regan and Dayna, and great nana to Sarya and Jordan, Jayden, Karis, Beauden; Reade, Ardie, Blake, Fletcher, and Harrison.
Special thanks to caregiver Cathy and the staff at Jane Winstone for their loving care of our Mum.
Friends are invited to a celebration of Rita’s life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street Whanganui on Tuesday 2 December 2025 at 10:30 a.m. to be followed by a private cremation.

To Peter and Lynne and families..We have as you well know a lifetimes of memories from kids AND Fromont street to parents, swimming club,we always managed to reconnect in different ways as we have got older,wonderful memories of Rita swimming atWE baths her and Dad swimming lengths later in life.The hours of supporting as an offical and always part of the end on year presentation entertainment. A foundation member of the WEclub . Rita lead a full life as she continued life on her own after losing your Dad and then moving to Jane Winstone. Sorry was unable to attend blame Robert!
