John passed away peacefully on 17 September 2025.
Loved husband of Frances and the late Rosie, Father and Father-in-law to Jane and Geoff, Jan and Tony, Grant and Sara, and Sarah and Robert.
Jono to his 7 Grandchildren and 4 great Grandchildren.
Thank you to the amazing staff at St Johns Healthcare for looking after Jono.
Friends are invited to a service for John in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui at 1.30pm on Monday 22 September 2025 to be followed by interment in the Brunswick Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of Jono's passing. Wonderful memories of many happy times spent at our Rangiwahia homes as young people. I am forever grateful for the love and support you gave me in more recent years when I lost my brother and my mother. Such a gentleman and a very "special" cousin.

It was with great sadness we heard of Jono’s passing.
When we arrived in Brunswick in 1977, Rosemary and Jono became wonderful neighbours and much loved and valued friends.
I had many things in common with Rosie especially our love of gardening.
Jono invited Rob to become a Moutua Lion and from there a wonderful friendship was born. Jono was gentle gentleman. He loved cars and many happy trips to Manfield car racing were enjoyed. He was a wonderful husband, father and friend.
We know he will be sadly missed.
Rob and I are particularly disappointed we were unable to attend Jonos funeral.
