At Whanganui after a lengthy illness, finally at peace and with Mum.
Only son of the late John (Jack) and Helen Dougherty (née Golder), dearly loved husband of the late Lois Isabel Dougherty (née McKegg), father of Helen, Brian and Mayumi, David and Nicky, Michelle and Dale, Joanne and Jonathon, cherished grandad of Isabella, and the late Hope.
Last of his generation.
A Vigil for John will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, Tawhero Street, Whanganui at 5pm on Wednesday 6 May and a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday 7 May at 1.30pm followed by internment at the Aramoho Lawn Cemetery.
