Peacefully at Kowhainui Rest Home, Whanganui on Wednesday 5 November 2025.
Dearly loved Wife of Bryon for 57 years, and much loved Mum to Andrew (dec), Julia, Adele, and Michael.
Loved sister and sister-in-law of Maurice and Karen, Madeleine, Bernard and Phyllis, Peter (dec), Philip and Averyll, and Celia.
The family extend their heartfelt thanks to Kowhainui for all their love and care of Janet.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, Tawhero Street, Whanganui on Saturday 8 November 2025 at 10.30am to be followed by private cremation.
The family extend an invitation to join them for Rosary for Janet in the Church on Friday evening at 5.30pm.

Janet was a fabulous colleague and friend. She was an exceptional teacher and showed her faith and care towards all the children she taught and her friends. Rest in peace Janet. X

Having. family links from the 50's through to now brings so many memories flooding back, Your announcement of engagement Tony invites you both for. lunch. I go. to Mass put a leg of lamb in. the oven coming home 2. fire engines pass me!! Smoke pouring from all windows! When you & Janet arrived the remnants of lunch burned!! Am not. sure what we ate.
Bryon know that I always valued Janet's connection in my life & yours. Dementia from family members has truly stopped me from communicating as I was never sure with whom I was talking to. I am still able to talk though rheumatoid plus osteoarthritis inhabits my movement etc,Am glad I have a brain that seems.to work!
