Peacefully after a brave battle surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 28, aged 69 years.
Cherished Mother and Mother-in-law of John, Elizabeth and Glenys (deceased), Patricia and Jordan, and Francis and Brad.
Much loved Nana of Harriet and Claudia.

Precious daughter of the late Ken and Mary Mahoney (nee McCashin).
Beloved sister and sister-in-law of Brian and Gail, Anne and Kevin, Cathy and the late Ken, Colleen and Pavan, Gerard and Moe, Shona and Ian, Jude and Gerard, Pauline and Adrian, Liz and Ian, Cushla and Lawrie, and John (deceased).
Very much loved by her cousins, nieces, nephews and many treasured friends. 
A special thank you to the wonderful, caring staff at St Johns Hill Lifecare, the ED and Surgical Ward at Whanganui Hospital, and Driving Miss Daisy. 
Family and friends are invited to attend a service to celebrate Maree’s life in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton St, Whanganui, on Friday March 6, 2026 at 11.00am, to be followed by interment at the Aramoho Lawn Cemetery.
