I am so sorry to hear about Margaret. My husband, Paul, and I visited her earlier in the year and she seamed reasonably well then.
We intended to visit again, but our own health issues got in the way. I’d texted her a few times and tried to phone recently; but it was only today, after I realised that her phones were disconnected, that I checked the internet. I am so sorry I didn’t check much earlier as I would have loved to see her again (or at least attended to her funeral.)
Margaret and I met nearly 58 years ago in Palmerston North after we’d both given birth to our first child and have remained in touch ever since. A few years ago, Margaret and Michelle visited us in Waikanae and brought us a lovely chrysanthemum plant, which still grows in our garden. A treasured memory of a very good friend.
My deepest sympathy to all her family.
