Dear Ann and family
I was shocked to hear of Clive's recent passing and want to pass on my belated sympathy to you all. Clive was extremely proud of you and I always admired his "family first" value - no matter the circumstances. Also his sense of humour and ability to de-fuse situations whether staff, parents or students was a real strength. It was a pleasure to have the opportunity to work with him. I'm sure he's left a huge gap in your lives. Thinking of you at this sad time. Patrice xx

Talofa Ann & family,
My sincere condolences for your loss. I was one of the many students from Otago Boys' who was fortunate enough to have Mr. Rennie as we knew him to be Rector of OBHS.
My earliest memory was as a prospective student 13 years old being interviewed by him. I remember relying on my rugby accolades to impress him stating I played for the Otago Under 65's. Instead of being impressed Mr. Rennie said "Otago Boy's is more than just rugby, how are would you rate your performance in the classroom?" This burst my bubble and I remember thinking this isn't looking to good.
I was accepted into Otago Boys' and by my final year (2008) was invited by Mr. Rennie to be Head Boy. I still have my leaving letter from him which I will cherish along with the memories.
I married, have children, move country and become a practicing lawyer and am forever grateful for the part that Mr. Rennie has played in my life. His legacy lives on.
Manuia lau malaga Mr. Rennie,
Alofa atu,

Dear Ann and family
The Anderson's (Carol, Jim and Tricia) originally from Mornington were saddened to learn of Clive,s passing. The Rennie's and Anderson's lived in Rosebery Street in Beleknowes Dunedin and often played together back then in the 50s!. Clive and I were in the Otago under 18 soccer team that won the Junior National Cup. I still have the medal and team photo.
I worked with the late Bruce Challis in Dunedin and met up with Bruce and Lyn at RNZAF Base Ohakea. Bruce and I were still in contact until his recent death.

All the best
