It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of Archie. A life long friend of my parents Peter and May Eriksen and supporter of our family, myself, brothers Craig and David and my sister Janine.
A great stalwart of Pirates Rugby Club for decades and general all round good guy.
RIP Archie.

Kind wishes to you Leon and Stephen on the passing of Arch. So many lovely memories of him when my mother Sylvia Beach worked for him. A wonderful man who lived a full life in our community.

We had the privilege of living across the road from Mr Roebuck for many years before we moved to Taupo in 2024. He was a kind, funny and friendly neighbour and loved our dog Teal to pieces, always bringing her over a piece of his leftover steak and roast dinners, just so he could get a snuggle with her. We would pop over (with our dog in tow) to see him with some baking, and we'd end up talking with him for ages about life and the Warriors games. We are saddened to hear of his passing, and we'd like to pass on our condolences to his family. He was a great man and will be missed by many. Rest in love, Mr Roebuck x

Arch was an amazing friend, neighbor and community person. The work both Arch and Esme did in the Castlecliff community will be a memory of many. Everybody that knew Arch and Esme were lucky to do so. We are unable to attend the service today but our hearts are with you all.
Rest in love Arch from the Nimmo family

I was very sad to hear about the passing of Arch. My parents Beryl & Graeme McKenzie adored him and always spoke about him with much affection. Dad used to work at the service station on weekends and I have very early memories of visiting there with Dad. Mum & Esme were friends as well. Mum & Dad kept in touch with Arch & Esme over their lives and after Mum passed, Dad would tell me of the wonderful and uplifting chats he had with Arch. I had the pleasure of visiting with him a few years ago and it was a visit that meant a lot - we had a lovely afternoon with him sharing memories - what a warm, caring man with a twinkle of mischief in his eyes. He touched so many hearts - and with his loss, the world feels a little emptier. Heartfelt condolences to Leon, Stephen and your families.
