Passed away peacefully on 9th November 2024, with family present, just short of his 100th birthday.
(The savouries were ordered just in case)
Loved Husband of the late Rae.
Loving Father, Father-in-law and cherished friend of John (dec), Jennifer Guinness (dec), Margaret and John Hanlon, Graeme and Wendy, and Edward and Trish.
Much loved Poppa to his 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
The Wakeling family would like to thank the many people who supported their Father, especially over the last few years as he lived in his own home.
Special thanks to Heather (and Patrick), the Angel from next door.
Thanks to Edna who has been his carer for many years, and all his homecare helpers.
Thanks also to the nursing staff at the Whanganui Hospital for their care of Dad.
Friends are invited to attend a Service to celebrate Jim's life held in the Forrest Lawn Chapel, 208 Guyton Street, Whanganui on Wednesday 13 November 2024 at 1.30 p.m. to be followed by a private cremation.
